Discover Bite Of New York

If you’re craving an authentic New York-style bite without hopping on a plane, Bite Of New York at 10100 Mukilteo Speedway #106, Mukilteo, WA 98275, United States, delivers exactly what the name promises. I’ve stopped in several times after long workdays, and each visit felt like stepping into a neighborhood diner somewhere in Brooklyn-minus the traffic and subway noise.

The first thing that hits you is the aroma. Fresh dough, simmering marinara, and that unmistakable scent of melted mozzarella drifting from the kitchen. Their menu leans heavily into East Coast classics: hand-tossed pizza, stacked deli sandwiches, hearty pasta plates, and sides that feel unapologetically indulgent. On my last visit, I ordered their classic pepperoni slice and a pastrami sandwich. The crust had that ideal balance-crispy on the outside, chewy in the center. According to research from the American Culinary Federation, dough fermentation time plays a huge role in texture and flavor development. You can taste that process here; this isn’t rushed pizza.

What stands out most is their commitment to quality ingredients. When I asked about their sauce, the staff explained they use a slow-simmer method that develops natural sweetness without loading it with sugar. That aligns with culinary best practices recommended by organizations like the James Beard Foundation, which emphasize technique over shortcuts. It’s those small details that separate a decent diner from a memorable one.

The pastrami sandwich deserves its own spotlight. Stacked high, served warm, and layered with mustard that cuts through the richness, it feels satisfyingly messy-in the best way. I’ve tried similar sandwiches in Seattle, and honestly, this one holds its ground. A friend of mine who grew up in Queens joined me once, took a bite, and simply said, this tastes like home. That’s high praise from someone who knows their deli standards.

Beyond the food itself, the experience matters. The team behind the counter moves quickly but never makes you feel rushed. On busy evenings, especially weekends, the dining area fills up with families, local students, and regulars who clearly know the menu by heart. Reviews online frequently mention generous portions and consistent flavor, and from my visits, that consistency is real. In food service, consistency is everything. The National Restaurant Association reports that repeat customers are largely driven by predictable quality and service. That formula seems well understood here.

Another thing I appreciate is transparency. When I asked about allergens for a family member, the staff confidently walked me through ingredients and preparation methods. Food safety is no small matter-according to the CDC, millions of foodborne illnesses occur annually in the U.S. While no restaurant can eliminate risk entirely, clear communication and proper kitchen practices go a long way toward building trust. In my experience, Bite Of New York takes that responsibility seriously.

The location on Mukilteo Speedway also makes it convenient. Whether you’re grabbing takeout after work or dining in before heading toward the waterfront, it’s easy to access and offers enough parking to avoid the usual small-town scramble. I’ve noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, which tells me locals rely on it as a dependable weeknight option.

If you’re exploring the menu for the first time, I’d recommend starting with a classic slice and pairing it with garlic knots. From there, branch out to their pasta dishes or specialty sandwiches. Their approach reflects what I’d call straightforward comfort food done right-no unnecessary twists, just solid execution.

Is it a luxury dining experience? No, and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s a neighborhood-style spot focused on hearty portions, bold flavors, and reliable service. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want: a place where the food speaks clearly, the staff treats you like a regular, and every bite reminds you why New York-style deli and pizza culture remains iconic across the country.

  • I am from New York City, and have strong opinions about pizza. This is my favorite pizza place in the state. Pizza available by the slice, crunchy thin crust that makes me want to eat the whole thing, great cheese, friendly staff, fair prices. This place is a gem. Got a chicken Parmesan hoagie once as well that was very good. Can’t recommend enough!

  • I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The khachapuri I ordered was simply divine; the dough was perfectly baked, and the cheese filling was rich and flavorful. It truly felt like an authentic taste of Georgia. Additionally, the pizza was outstanding – the crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and generously portioned. Beyond the delicious food, the service was impeccable. The owners were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, adding to the overall delightful dining atmosphere. I also appreciate the attention to detail in presentation and the use of high-quality ingredients. I will definitely be returning and recommending your restaurant to all my friends and family. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • I came to Bite of New York for lunch and absolutely loved the quick pick menu for sliced pizza. We actually bought a whole pizza, Caesar salad, a house salad and wings w/o sauce on them. Everything was really good. No complaints on the food. I did eat my slice of pizza with a fork as it was thinner and soft through the middle area. The place was clean and inviting. I recommend this restaurant if you want a quick bite to go or sit down experience. The photos I have of our food are in to go boxes as I requested so not the best representation of how good the food actually looks and tastes. It's definitely better in person.

  • I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you love thin crust and loads of cheese, you’re in for a treat. The dough is light and crispy, and the cheese? So much of it, and always perfectly melted. Every time I come here, the pizza is consistently good. It’s simple, delicious, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a solid slice. The place itself has a laid-back vibe, great for hanging out with friends or just grabbing something quick. It’s easily the best pizza in the area—and I’ve tried quite a few. Highly recommend giving it a try. You’ll be hooked.

  • You having a bad day? Go here. Absolutely amazing pizza. Same price for food that tastes great and doesn't upset your stomach. Incredibly kind and generous staff who always greet me with a smile. I've seen them give a slice to a hungry boy for free. I've eaten here maybe 20 times and have NEVER been disappointed.
